What are the applications of sodium fluoride in various industries

Sodium fluoride is a colorless cubic or tetragonal crystal. Sensitive to humidity. Water solubility (g/100ml): 4, 15℃, 4, 25℃, 4.3, 100℃, 5, insoluble in ethanol. The hydrolysis of the aqueous solution is alkaline. The pH value of the newly prepared saturated solution is 7.4. Its aqueous solution can make the glass hairy, but its dry crystals or powder can be stored in glass bottles. The relative density is 2.78. Melting point 993℃. The boiling point is 1695°C. The lethal dose (rat, oral) was 0.18g/kg. Strongly stimulating. The storage method is sealed and must be stored in a dry and ventilated place.

  • Sodium fluoride (NAF) is an important fluoride salt used to make other fluoride raw materials.
  • Used as raw material for continuous casting mold powder
  • Used as an agricultural pesticide, sterilization
  • Used as wood preservative, water treatment agent, ceramic pigment, boiling steel manufacturing, light metal fluoride salt treatment agent, smelting refining and protective layer, used as UF3 adsorbent in nuclear industry.
  • Increase the wear resistance in the production of sealing materials and brake pads. The mechanical blade planer is inlaid with steel to increase the welding strength.
  • Enamel pharmaceutical industry and paper production and building materials.
  • Used as a phosphating accelerator in the coating industry to stabilize the phosphating solution, refine the phosphating, and improve the performance of the phosphating film. Aluminum and its alloys are sealed with AL3+, which has a very harmful negative catalytic effect, to make phosphating smooth, and alkaline zincate zinc plating additives. Cleaning fluids, welding fluxes and fluxes
    for steel and other metals,
  • Ceramic glass and enamel spirit flux and opacifier, hide and skin treatment in the leather industry, adhesive antiseptic.
